No Vaccines For Me!

Written By: kathleen - Feb• 23•11

Although I am considered an advocate for people with autism and their families, this is not an autism book. Autism probably has different causes, and I don’t believe all people with autism are vaccine-injured. I do believe that vaccines cause autism and perhaps affect the level of severity of the medical and neurological symptoms one with autism might experience. This prompted me to do my own research into what I found to be the horrors of vaccines, which far surpass one medical diagnosis or condition.

I decided to write No Vaccines for Me! because, although many books and Web sites about vaccine dangers and side effects are available for parents, I could not find any resources for a younger audience. There were no family books available for parents to use to educate their children. Thus, I wrote No Vaccines for Me! as a family book and not as a children’s book. It is intended as a resource for like-minded parents and professionals who choose not to vaccinate and who wish to make informed decisions about vaccinations, nutrition, and overall health. It is not intended to be controversial, although it may be viewed as such.

This book is an interactive reading tool intended to facilitate dialogue between parents and children and to inspire them to develop a health and wellness plan. It is written to educate families about informed consent, to explain their right to refuse vaccines, and to assist them with becoming more confident in discussing and making their own health care decisions. My hope and expectation are that parents will read this book to their children and explain the content in more detail.

No Vaccines for Me! is a health-related book and is no different from books used to teach our children about other issues, such as stranger danger, bullying, child abuse, sexual abuse, divorce, domestic violence, fire safety, nutrition, obesity, abortion, and other topics and history pertaining to health. Parents should take the lead role in reading this book with their children just as they would with any of the topics that affect millions of our children worldwide.

Children need to understand that not all people with disabilities are vaccine-injured. It is also important to acknowledge the beauty of diversity and the importance of acceptance of all people with different abilities no matter the cause. My vision is that we accept and love those who have experienced health issues because of vaccines just as they are, yet continue to find ways to help them become well and independent and to live pain-free, beautiful lives without judgment from others.

After participating in the vaccine debates for years, I now realize it is no longer about the lack of safety and/or efficacy. I certainly have my opinions on these issues, but I am more concerned with the right to choose (and refuse) what goes into my body and my child’s body.

My hope is that No Vaccines for Me! will remind individuals about their rights to make decisions for themselves and their children, which include the right to accept or refuse medication, vaccines, or medical procedures. We also have the right to be correctly informed of their risks, side effects, and benefits as well, and we need to hold medical practitioners and government employees accountable when that does not happen. We have the right to question the alleged vaccine-induced herd immunity theory (or is it herd mentality they really want from us?). Assuming the herd immunity theory is valid, even though no credible proof exists to support it, why are some of us expected and forced to accept vaccinations that may kill or injure our own children for the suspected good of the whole? Is that not barbaric?

My intention is not to instruct or to persuade people to reject vaccinations, but instead to inspire readers to do their own research and make their own informed decisions that will promote social change. The only way to create such change is to break the bondage of indoctrination that we, our parents, our grandparents, and our children have endured from within the public education system, the medical and health care industry, and the media.

It is my belief that not only must we continue to entertain and endure those dreaded and endless court-room battles related to vaccines and injury, but we must also shift more of our focus and energy into educating the next generation of young parents and children about the dangers of vaccines and the right to choose. We must do this through reading materials and free press while we still have our constitutional rights to do so. No Vaccines for Me! is the first in my series of family books related to these very interesting, and perhaps, controversial topics.

Finally, I hope you enjoy reading this book with your children and that it inspires you to maintain and assert your parental rights. “Let truth be your authority, instead of allowing authority to be your truth.” (Anonymous)

“For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are.”
1 Corinthians 1:19,20,27,28
